CT ABDOMEN AND PELVIS
Referral Notes
Arteriovenous malformation follow-up.
Report
Comparison has been made to previous films dated 20/3/2009.
Helical CT from diaphragm to symphysis pubis following intravenous contrast.
There is dissection of the infrarenal abdominal aorta commencing 3cm below the renal artery. The dissection extends to, but does not involve the aortic bifurcation. There is no aneurysmal dilatation of the aorta. The maximum infrarenal aortic dimension is 26mm. Once again, I note mild fusiform dilatation of the coeliac axis measuring 12mm. There is duplication of the infrarenal IVC. There is an arteriovenous malformation involving the left sciatic notch which once again, measures 5cm transversely and 3cm anteroposteriorly. Arterial contrast noted within the left common iliac vein confirming AV malformation. There is a large simple cyst at the lower pole of the right kidney. The liver, spleen, pancreas and bowel appear unremarkable.
Comment
Appearances essentially unchanged from previous examination dated 20/3/09.
Thank you for referring this patient.
