BBQ Stakes 25th August 2010 and Results
A cold and rather windy day, even then, 53 runners participated.
Victoria Hennig, the winner at the previous event, after being rehandicapped, finished in 44th place.
The winner was Talwar Singh finishing in 6th place, but was the first eligible finisher. He has completed 73 runs, for 4 wins, with 47 runs since his previous win.
He also runs at the Lake Tuggeranong Stakes on Tuesdays on a regular basis, travelling from Woden to participate. Matthew Murphy in a time of 22:47 was the fastest runner on the day, while Kerrie Tanner broke the 30 minute mark again, she is one of the trainers for the Canberra Times training group, which runs in the early mornings twice a week. There are around 100 training in that group, with a report appearing in The Canberra Times weekly on the group's progress.
