Trials and Tribulations (On the computer)

When a newer version of my anti virus program was released, I ignored doing anything for quite a while, thinking it was not necessary to update.

After a few weeks, I was reminded by e-mail that I had not yet updated.

So I went ahead and installed the new version.

However it installed "Parental Controls".

Foolishly, now I know better, I installed the new program.

It didn't allow me to visit some sites, e.g. Lucky Legs Blog.

So I contacted the help desk people over the phone for their help to remove Parental Controls.

The first session with them lasted over an hour on the phone.

Then a few weeks later, a phone session seemed to last more than 1.5 hours.

And it was successful. Now I will not ever install "Parental Controls again.

But I now know that Parental Controls is available as part of Windows.

However I won't be investigating again.

Live and Learn, as they say.
