Lost and Found
While going out to collect the paper in the early hours of last week to collect the newspaper, I came across (found) a set of keys dropped on my driveway.
Now, who did they belong to ??
They were not ours, so a few phone calls layer, and we had eliminated some possible owners.
Then more phone calls, to eliminate others, and guess ownership.
Eventually, the penny dropped. Someone had mentioned moving house the previous weekend.
There were a couple of newly cut keys in the collection. I eventually rang these suspects, and left a message for him to call back or revisit. He came later in the day and identified their keys. They belonged to his wife. Hope he didn't get into trouble for mislaying his wife's keys.
So all's well that ends well.
What was lost is now found and returned to it's rightful owner.
