Australian Cross Country Championships 20 th August 2011

A large crowd turned up on a nice fine day to spectate and participate at the Australian Ceoss Country Championships.

The Grass track at Stromlo Forest Park, was showing signs of green after the rain over the past week.

Some sprint finishes were evident as athletes did their best to catch those in the finish straight ahead of them.

Emily Brichacek started off well, leading the first lap of the open women's race. Results should be on the ACT Athletics web site in due course.
