Customs Joggers 1 st February 2013

 

On a warm day there was a very good field of 28 finishers.  Good to see some old hands returning – Phil Toomey and Keith Smith.  Welcome back to new starter Alan Howe for a second time.

This was the first week of a new point score competition.  The handicapper has adjusted handicaps to finish at 36:30, allowing the slower runners more opportunity to finish at the top of the list.

The point score competition will run through until Friday 21st of June with the grand presentation being on Friday 28th of June. This will give runners the opportunity to complete a maximum of 20 Customs Joggers runs during the point score period, with the season prizes being based on runner’s 15 best weekly scores.  It is possible to win the competition completing only 15 runs, however completing more runs means low scoring results can be dropped from the total.

This week, three prizes are awarded to the first eligible:  Peter Burke, Kevin O’Keeffe and Kerrie Louttit.
