BBQ Stakes 10 th April 2013

Doug Fry completed this run in 71 Minutes 42 seconds as an early starter.

The backpack slowed him down a bit, and the long trousers and backpack was a bit of baggage to carry.

73 runners today with a dribble of late finishers.

Adrian Plunkett joined the run today after his 3 week holiday in the states, and I tried to catch him with his favourite, "turn around", after which I said, "good to see your back". But he realised this joke was coming.  Roger Pilkington walked the event today minus leg bandages and socks.  Don't have official results as yet, but first was Rodd Rundle, second was Andrew guild, third Andrew Guild.

Kerrie Tanner posted on the BBQ Stakes facebook page:-  a great turnout this week 75 finishers...Great win by Rod Rundle by 1 second; his 1/2 marathon training is paying off, second to cross the line was the consistent Gordon Calcino followed by Andrew Guild timing it perfectly in 50mins (gross).
