Customs Joggers Run 8th October

This was a fine and warm day. There were 18 starters. Again, we used the Floriade course. Welcome back to Marko Manenica and Ratna after absences.

In the above results, Jon Shaw, having finished before 34 minutes is not eligible. First eligible are Kerrie Bremner and Kevin O’Keeffe. Kerrie and Kevin will receive prizes of Runners Shop vouchers or socks next week.

Well done to Pam 3:54 in the Fitzroy Falls marathon and Denis Gray for 45:28 in the Melbourne 10K.

This week was the twelfth week of a new point score competition, to continue to sometime towards the end of the year. Runners will be able to drop up to four runs. The above results have not yet been taken into account: Tony Olliffe (415) is leading Bronwyn Calver(406) then Mike Stracey (372), John Anderson (359), and Caroline Campbell 356.


Next Customs Joggers Run will be Friday 15 October 2010 at 12:15 pm. I understand that Floriade has finished but there will be weeks of cleaning up so we will again use our alternative Floriade course, starting on the bike path near the Archbishop’s House. (This is just across the grass from our usual start). If driving, allow lots of time to find a park and to walk to the start. Watch out for people going to and from Floriade.
