Stone Motherless last at Oakey Hill

Stranglehold on last place in the Waddell Series at Oakey Hill.

Came in stone motherless last in the Waddell Series at Oakey Hill this month.

Was a sure thing after visiting the Portaloo, a few minutes before the start time, and waiting in the queue.

Surprisingly, some sort of a record, as I missed my start group twice last year due to a visit to the Portaloo, just before the start.

Nevertheless, it was a lovely day to be out and about.

Then it started me thinking, could I create some record, in coming last in the Waddell series, over a number of events; that could not be surpassed by others, it may be interesting to see what happens in future handicaps. Mt Ainslie, is a longer course, and who knows, what the weather will throw down.Reminds me of the keeping of results in the BBQ Stakes weekly event, where they can tell a person, how long it has been since their last win.

Hey Friar, just good to see you out there, keep going, enjoy being last as there is no pressure at the tail of the field.

I agree with two fruits - it was a lovely surprise to see your encouraging smile out there - you looked relaxed and comfortable and what a stunner of a day to be part of it all. Welcome back.

Stone motherless last is better than stone motherless sitting on the couch.

Well, I wasn't there, but good to see you running again Friar. Keep at it and you might improve as much as Nick.

I know how it feels to be stone motherless last, Friar...happened to me at the Central Coast half marathon last year.... but a silly little thing like that isn't gpoing to stop runners like us!

Stay with it!
